Principal

Ma’am Nida Tareen serves as Principal and Co Founder of SIL and has been teaching the University of London LLB hons programme since 2004. She holds an LLB hons from the University of London and an LLM in International Business Law, the Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial and Corporate Law and the Postgraduate Certificate in Comparative and Foreign Law.

Barrister Faisal Khan

Lecturer

Barrister Faisal Khan of Khan and Muezzin as part of SIL’s faculty this year! With over two decades of experience in the legal sector as well as being an Advocate of the Supreme Court, Sir Faisal’s guidance in Contract Law, Company Law, Advocacy and Legal Writing will prove to be invaluable to our students.

Barrister Syed Masood

Lecturer
Barrister Syed Masood Raza of Raza & Khan Barristers & Corporate Counsellors as part of our faculty this year! With an impressive career spanning across litigation and dispute resolution as well as legal academia since 2008, he will be bringing his years of legal knowledge and expertise in subjects such as Islamic Law and Human Rights Law.

Advocate Hassan Ali

Lecturer

Advocate Supreme Court Hassan Ali Raza of Qalb-i- Hassan & Partners is an accredited Mediator and Arbitrator as well as a succesful commercial lawyer, he has also been involved with legal academia since 2011. He will be providing much needed reasoning skills and problem solving strategies to students in subjects like Public Law, Legal Study and Method and Jurisprudence among others.

Ms. Surraiya Mariam

Lecturer
Ms Surraiya Mariam Khaleeq is a senior Advocate with over 30 years of experience in the legal fraternity. She also heads the Legal Cell of Women Aid Trust, an NGO that works for women rights and abuse cases. Ms Khaleeq will be providing her invaluable experience and guidance to students in the SIL Law Clinic where she will be bringing casework for students on a rotational basis.

| graduated in 2009 and started my career as Lecturer Laws in 2010. The learning experience never ended with finishing my degree, in fact, teaching various modules like Contract Law, Public Law, Law of Trusts and Law of Torts, gave me a different perspective that as a student one never realises.

As an legal practitioner, Samee regularly advises clients on a wide array of legal issues including but not limited to regulatory governance and compliance, employment issues and commercial disputes. Samee also undertakes contentious work and has successfully represented clients across various fora.

My legal journey started in 2018 when I enrolled in SIL for the UoL LLB program, I graduated in 2021 and the same year I worked as an Associate with two litigation firms, Kundi & Misbah and ZM Law, handling all types of cases ranging from civil and criminal litigation to corporate and tax litigation and consultancies.

Mobeen graduated in 2022 from SIL with a respectable 2:1 degree. Along with a good academic record, Mobeen was an avid mooter representing Pakistan in the Jean Pictet Moot Competition in Albania and participating in and qualifying for the advanced rounds of the Jessup Moot Competition
